The John Brooks Community Foundation is a volunteer-based organization founded in 1981 to assist in the development and support of young people. The foundation aims to motivate students of African descent to achieve academic excellence and to give them an awareness of their importance in society. Since its inception, we have distributed over $110,000 in scholarships and bursaries to over 650 students, in particular, young people of African descent, in middle school, secondary school and those entering post-secondary studies.

The Foundation aims to motivate students to achieve academic excellence and to give students an awareness of their importance to society through social programs and the scholarship fund. The Foundation presents awards annually to students from Grade 7 to 12 in order to encourage them to work harder towards their goals.
