General Criteria

Grades 7 - 12 applicants must be in full-time attendance in an elementary/middle or secondary school in Ontario in the academic year in which they are applying.

Grade 12 applicants who are not returning to school must have graduated from a secondary school in Ontario in the year in which they are applying and must be accepted for full-time study in a post-secondary institution.

Grade 12 applicants for the University and College Awards must be accepted for full-time study at the University or College offering the award.

Applicants must be residents of Ontario.

Applicants must be present at the awards ceremony to receive their awards.

Selection

The John Brooks Community Foundation and Scholarship Fund Selection Committee will review all applications and will determine eligibility for awards based on the applicant's academic record and documented proof of extracurricular activities, community service and financial need. THE DECISION OF THE SELECTION COMMITTEE IS FINAL.
